This Saturday June 27, Pastor Dorr will be out of town, so one of our disciples (Rich Langston) will be preaching from the verses Mark 5:21-43 and Lamentations 3:22-33. The central theme will be faith.
On July 4, we have multiple people that will be out of town (given it being the same day as a national holiday), so we will not be holding worship. We will return back to our normal schedule on July 11.

Rescue Mission
Earlier in April this year, we visited one of Jacksonville's Rescue Missions on MacDuff Avenue. We served the residents dinner, but also got to know the people that run the kitchen. It was a very inspiring day meeting many people who have had a rough life that are on a good path now. We look forward to partnering with them more in the future to do what we can for those that may not have had the fortunate lives that we have had.

June Playlist
We traditionally change our music from month to month by a few songs to stay both familiar and fresh. Recently we've used some songs on a one time only basis such as David Crowder's version of Oh For A Thousand Tongues To Sing for Pentecost. For June, here is what we are using:
Opening Hymn - Shout To The North / Delirious?
Gospel Reading Hymn - Thy Word / Amy Grant
Post Scripture Hymn - God Of Wonders / City On A Hill
Prayers Hymn - Come Thou Fount / Tangled Blue
Offertory Hymn - Lifesong / Casting Crowns
Communion Hymn - Loose In The World / Peter Mayer
Closing Hymn - King Of Glory / Third Day

Our Contemporary Service
We have a contemporary service every Saturday at 5:30. Our address is 11900 San Jose Blvd, Jacksonville, FL. We have kept Lutheran traditions such as gospel readings, communion, and baptism, however we also use contemporary music. Right now we use pre-recorded music, but will hopefully add a choir soon and down the road we want to add a full band. Pastor Dorr traditionally gives most of the sermons, but we also have many of our disciples that preach as well. This is a fledgling lay lead service and we welcome anyone that would like to try us out.
